Online Interview Applications

You a have four ways of interviewing a business owner online.  You would use these if you do not have physical access to the person you want to interview, for instance, they live in Miami.

The person you are interviewing must have the same software as you.

1. Skype

2. Google Hangout (Voice and Video)   

• Gmail Account required by both you and your interviewee. 
• Installation (both you and interviewee must install Google Voice and Video.   
• Click on this LINK for an overview on Google Hangout. Use the video link on the page.

3. Go to Meeting 

• Licensed by FSU and you can get login credentials from Joanna Southerland (joanna.southerland@fsu.edu)

We have tested all of the above mentioned technologies.

• Google Hangout in the Air is complicated.  
• Although GotoMeeting says it will record your presentation our results have been spotty.  
• We recommend recording your online interview by using a digital collaboration tool (Hangouts, GoToMeeting, or Skype) and also use Tegrity which will record your desktop (i.e. your interview).
